Presiding

God bless Perry. He has taken E's algebra and E under his wing for these last 5 weeks of class. E's grade was slipping from a strong A to a high B. His motivation was deteriorating. He is very, very ready for summer to be here.

Perry, for whatever reason, but oh, do I thank him, had a heart to heart with E one night a week or so ago and ever since has been calling, IM'ing, or texting E many, many times a day to see how he's doing with his school work. When Perry gets home he first sees if E needs help with any problems and then listens attentively to what E accomplished that day. Praising words flow forth to encourage E to continue.

Because of this, E is completely caught up in Algebra, his attitude has changed (one never feels good when they are behind) and he is happier.

It is moments such as these that help form relationships between people. I am proud that Perry has manged to raise E up and find a way to help him without making him feel stupid. I have heard them in the office while Perry is saying, "No, we will just look at the problem another way. There is a way to solve it and we will get there. Let's look together and see where we went wrong." We only have the answers to the questions, not the solutions.

Thanks Perry.
