Math Logic

A few weeks ago J asked Perry for help with his math. Perry looked at it and asked for a calculator. J was indignant, "I never get to use a calculator. Why do you get to use one?"

"Because I'm eating dinner."

"I'll eat dinner too, if I can use a calculator."

Nice try.

Time Tells

When I was growing up and my mom got a new something, we all had to take careful care of it until enough time passed in her mind that it was okay to treat said something as part of the family.

Apparently I inherited this trait. For Chiristmas, E received a Ripstick. It is kind of like a skateboard, except it only has two wheels and, from what I can tell, you must move your body in an S to maneuver.

Now, Perry and I are dodging the Ripstick at any given time. We (I really mean Perry and the boys) put in laminate flooring and it works absolutely perfectly to ride from the kitchen, on through the dining room and into the living room and back.

Too bad we have a foot of snow outside right now. I kind of expected to take the kids up to the skate park, not bring the skate park to the living room.

The Anniversary

Today is our 22nd anniversary. I called my mom to see if S could go to her house for an hour. I told S that she was going to go so that Daddy and I could have some private time to celebrate our anniversary. She wasn't real happy about leaving me (even though she loves going to Grandma's). I told her that she didn't have a choice.

S - "Where will my boys be?"
Me - "In the living room."
S - "Where will you and daddy be?"
Me - "In our bedroom."
S - "I want to stay in your bedroom with you and see how you celebrate your anniversary."
Me - "Not in this lifetime."

The Introduction

Hey Kids and Greatmother - This is for you.

After our trip to Disneyworld, I realize that you, boys, don't remember much of the extremely fun activities I did with you when there were 4 of you. What better way to remember our life together than from your mom's point of view!! And......kids say the funniest things, so I want to capture the words right from your mouths.

Greatmother - Here's a peek inside our life.
